King Sombra, or simply Sombra, is a male initially-umbrum unicorn, a shadow pony, the former tyrannical ruler of the Crystal Empire, and the main antagonist of the IDW comics' thirteenth story arc and My Little Pony/Transformers II. He is described as a unicorn whose heart was black as night. Also, he is depicted as the scariest pony ever. It was mentioned that King Sombra \can even appear as black smoke.
