1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Custom Cursor Pro (“we”, “us”, “the Extension”) handles permissions and data when you install and use the Extension in Google Chrome. Custom Cursor Pro is a free Chrome extension that lets you change your mouse cursor, use animated designs, and create unique cursors with Creator and Constructor tools.

The developer has disclosed that the Extension will not collect or use your personal data beyond what is needed to run its core features locally on your device.

2. Single Purpose

The Extension serves one simple and specific purpose: to change and personalize the mouse cursor in Chrome — including selecting animated cursor styles from a library and optionally creating or constructing your own custom cursor.

  • scripting — So the Extension can apply the selected mouse cursor style on web pages.
  • storage — To save user settings and preferences in the Extension.
  • unlimitedStorage — To store cursor pack and custom cursor data.
  • notifications — To notify users about new cursor designs and updates when enabled.
  • alarms — To wake the service worker for scheduled checks (for example, availability of new cursor packs), instead of long-running timers.
  • Host access — Needed so the custom cursor can work on websites you visit. Host access covers match patterns in the Extension’s permissions and content_scripts. Note: due to Chrome policies, cursors do not apply on the Chrome Web Store or browser settings pages.

4. Remote Code

We do not use remote code. The Extension does not execute remotely hosted code as part of its operation.

5. Data Practices

In accordance with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we confirm that:

  • We do not sell or transfer user data, except in limited circumstances permitted by the policies.
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the Extension’s core functionality or its improvement.
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

6. What Data Is Stored

The Extension stores data locally in Chrome extension storage so your experience can be restored across sessions. This may include:

  • Custom cursors you create with Creator or Constructor (stored on your device)

We do not sell personal information. Local settings and cursor data are used only to provide and improve the Extension’s cursor-personalization features.
